Assalamu Alaikum,
It is with profound sorrow that ISOC announces the passing
away of Br. Abdul Latif Simjee.
He is survived by his wife Sr. Amina and their daughters
Rafia, Fauzia, Sumira, Jameelah, Rubina and Naheed, and all sons-in-law and
nine grandchildren, and his sisters Sr. Halima, Sr. Aisha and Masha Allah, a
large number of nieces and nephews.
Over the course of several decades, Br. Abdul Latif
volunteered much of his time for ISOC and fulfilled many roles. He would be the
first to call the adhan for Fajr, served as the treasurer for OCM, and was
responsible for setting the jam ah timings, just a few amongst the many roles
that he took on and carried out with great dedication.
ISOC and the community offer heartfelt condolences to the
Simjee families, their relatives here in the USA and overseas, and the many
friends in the community who remember him with great respect and affection.
May Allah bless Abdul Latif Simjee, grant him maghfirah,
raise his ranks to the highest level of Jannah, and give his family, relatives
and friends comfort and patience. - Ameen.
